Producer
Kimberly Ogletree is an award-winning producer, with an extensive background in film and television production. With Producer/ UPM credits of 25 films and multiple television series, her work can be seen on Viacom, BET, MTV, Universal, TV One, Bounce TV, All Black and more. As Supervising Producer for Special Projects and Development at BET, she oversaw ten original TV movies and served as music supervisor on nine of those films. As a content supplier, Ogletree operated her own production company, Karat Entertainment at Sunset Gower Studios for ten years where she developed and produced content for global entertainment and media outlets. She has also produced over 200 music videos for Sony, Warner and Universal Music.
Ogletree has served as SVP Physical Production for URBANFLIX TV where she oversaw multiple series and films. Karat Entertainment recent production for BET was the eight-episode series, “Haus of Vicious,” and co-produced “Hollywood Husbands: Reunion,” for Jesse Collins Entertainment and Kevin
Hart’s Hartbeat Productions that also aired on BET along with four diverse independent films, “A Royal Christmas Surprise,” “Honor Student,” ” Finding Love in Sisters and “Plus One at an Amish Wedding.
Kimberly’s producing credits also include the BET Arabesque films, Rendezvous, A Private Affair, Midnight Blue and Rhapsody starring LisaRaye and directed by Jeff Byrd; Hair Show starring Oscar Recipient, Monique;Playas Ball starring Allen Payne of “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne”; Cuttin’ Da Mustard starring Brandon T. Jackson which. won the 2007 Pan African Film Festival Choice Award; the MTV Original Movie, Love Song, directed by Julie Dash; Ashes which won the 2010 Best Horror Film at Shriekfest; Hellraiser Revelation for the Weinstein
Company/Dimension Films. Kimberly produced the faith-based film “A Beautiful Soul” starring gospel artist Deitrick Haddon, Harry J. Lennix and Lesley-Ann Brandt released through AMC Independent and TV One for broadcast; 12 episodes of the comedy series “Rodney Perry’s Off the Chain,” for BOUNCE TV; a pilot for FUSE TV, an original dramatic series The Hustle, directed by Tim Story and Executive Produced the reality series;
Keith Sweat’s Platinum House featuring Dru Hill for Centric TV, a subsidiary of BET; and the award-winning short film,
“Boxed In” directed by Actress, Tasha Smith “Tyler Perry’s Have Nots” & “Lee Daniel’s Empire. To add to her list of accomplishments Kimberly produced the independent feature, “If” directed by Mario
Van Peebles, starring Ryan Guzman “Notorious,” “The Boy Next Door” and William Fichtner “Mom,” Independence Day: Resurgence and she produced a 10-episode docu-series “Courtside Jones” for Hartbeat Productions. This series explored life after basketball through the eyes of great legends that played the game.
Kimberly has produced three commercials for Greenwood Bank, a Nigerian Folktale featuring Chloe x Halle (Little Miss Mermaid) for Vogue Magazine, and she worked alongside producer Carl Craig in the production of the Netflix mockumentary, “Death To 2020.”
Ogletree is a member of the DGA, PGA, Women in Film and currently serves on the board of GreenLight Women where she is also a founding member. She is a Senior Producing Instructor at the New York Film Academy in Burbank, CA, an alum of Howard University and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (ΑΚΑ) the first intercollegiate historically African American sorority.
